Brompton Australia x Micromobility

We headed up to Sydney for the Micromobility Expo - the new 2 day event open to trade & the public, sponsored by the NSW Government & held at the Royal Randwick Racecourse.

With the theme of ‘going further with less’, micromobility is the term being used to cover all forms of bicycles & cycling along with new forms of transport including e-scooters, e-cargo bikes & shared mobility schemes.

The conference side of the expo had inspiring presentations from 49 speakers & included talks on: 

• How to Accelerate the Delivery of Cycleways & Micromobility Networks

• Insights from Dutch case studies for successful introduction of shared mobility concepts in spatial planning 

• Evaluating 30kmh Safe Active Streets

• & An introduction to the NSW Government’s new Active Transport branch, with its remit to embed & enable the effective delivery of programs & initiatives that encourage people to choose sustainable modes of transport.

We reckon our Brompton Electric folding bike embodies the spirit of ‘going further with less’, & it was the hero of our stand at the Expo.
