44km from Melbourne is the Royal Botanic Gardens, Cranbourne Gardens.

Formerly a sand quarry, the garden design offers a natural bushland experience alongside the Australian Garden, an award-winning, contemporary botanic garden celebrating the beauty and diversity of Australian landscapes and flora and featuring over 100,000 plants from 1,900 plant varieties. 

Our friends at TCL Studio are the Landscape Architects & Urban Designers behind the Australian Garden & we were super excited to be invited along for a ride with them when they pulled out the drone to capture the design from above.

After a walk through the central garden we got on the Brompton bikes to explore the 6km of bicycle tracks that weave their way through the surrounding bushland and open grasslands of the Gardens.
